Tanner Gallella While First Things First is, by design, a ragtag collection of tracks, it is a remarkably cohesive listen. Soulful samples and analog warmth light up the darkest corners of Monuman's synthetic dubstep grooves; when he isn't launching you to orbit among stars with uplifting melodic textures, he's the soundtrack to the post-rave. A little while back when I first started this project, I wrote a batch of tunes in a pretty dark spot, put them up on Soundcloud, and didn't really expect much to happen. Those tunes ended up being some of my most played music, and unfortunately I never got around to releasing them for people to own. Fortunately, I have remastered the tracks and made those four tunes available to buy, alongside four brand new ones in a release entitled 'First Things First'.
